And we ARE all loved…..

There is love all around us.  Just know this to be true.  Let it in.

One thing I really know for sure….operating at a “deficit” with my Multiple Sclerosis, is that I AM LOVED and supported by so many beautiful, kind, caring people.  Not just in my inner circle of family, am I loved, but the awesome friends and people I do business with show me compassion and love….fitness trainers, massage therapist, hair stylist and the list goes on.

There are many forms of the expression of love….from the act of physical affection to the offer of a helping hand, a warm hug from a good friend, the simple and kind act of opening up a door for someone.  The list is endless.

Unfortunately in today’s political world there is not a lot of love being passed back and forth between the parties, the countries, and the world as a whole.  It’s a really sad and scary situation when  you spend any amount of time reading the newspapers or watching the major news stations.  It seems the world is on “pins and needles” worrying and wondering when the next world war is going to break out.  Tragically, if this does happen there will be devastating results in all countries.  The possibility of nuclear war has never been more present then now.  That is not LOVE.  That is a result of “ego”.   And nobody is without the risk of serious consequences if war should come to be.

I was out for lunch with a friend the other day and we were talking about the animosity and hatred that is building between political parties, neighborhoods, families etc.  People are lashing out at each other in ways we’ve never witnessed before.  It’s unsettling to watch.

WHAT THE WORLD NEEDS NOW IS LOVE….SWEET LOVE!  You know that Dionne Warwick song….the lyrics go like this:  “What the world needs now is love, sweet love.  It’s the only thing that there’s just too little of.  What the world needs now is love, sweet love.  No not just for some but for everyone.”  THESE LYRICS ARE SO APPROPRIATE FOR OUR SOCIAL CLIMATE RIGHT NOW.

You’ve heard the saying “Be the change you want to see in the world”.  My interpretation of this quote is to put love out there in to the universe.  Be kind, be part of the solution, remove anger from your life.  Love your neighbour, help a stranger with opening a door, carrying groceries to a car for an elderly or handicapped person.  There are good deeds to be done everyday.  Open your eyes to them and they will appear.

When we live in a mindset of “love” and “gratitude” we don’t see or feel the angst of the world quite so much.  We become part of the solution, not the problem.

Know that YOU ARE LOVED.

So well said Marcia, dealing with a health issue really does show one how truly blessed they are with friends, family, co-workers and even perfect strangers at times. The world does need more love but we also must show more respect and gratitude. Be well Marcia and continue to feel the love from all of us.
